Event Information
| Event Info: |
Team Rio is a group of dedicated, energetic runners who train together for the Country Music Marathon on April 24, 2010. Each Team Rio member raises at least $250 in pledges for the children of Big Brothers Big Sisters while also running or walking the 13.1 miles of their half marathon or the 26.2 miles of the full marathon.
Headed by members of Diamond Rio, each of the band members are incredibly supportive of this amazing group of athletes whether they are running in the midst of the group of cheering on the sidelines.
Team Rio members range from veteran marathon runners to first time walkers who had never before considered completing such a feat – and everything in between.
It's a great feeling crossing that finish line, and one that's made even better by knowing you are supporting the kids while hitting your own personal milestone.
2010 is the sixth year for Team Rio, and each edition we have enjoyed a larger group of runners and walkers while also increasing the check we are able to present to the kids of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
